Dr Alexandra Dollman is a specialist consultant in respiratory and sleep medicine with a special interest in aviation medicine.
Born in Adelaide she obtained her medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 2010 before completing her internship and residency at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She then completed a Masters of Science at Kings College in London, undertaking research at the Lane Fox Respiratory Unit at St Thomas’ Hospital.
She then returned to Australia where she undertook her Basic Physician Training in Sydney before going on to complete her Advanced Physician Training in Respiratory Medicine at Prince of Wales and St Vincent’s Hospitals and Sleep Medicine at the Canberra Sleep Clinic.
Her goal is to give each patient an individualized and thorough care plan working collaboratively with GPs and other specialists. She has a particular interest in transplant medicine after working in the St Vincent’s Heart and Lung Transplant Unit as well as aviation medicine, having presented at international conferences on the use of oxygen and ventilators in flight.
Outside of medicine, Dr Dollman enjoys long distance running and has a passion for language learning and speaks fluent French as well as some Spanish and Russian.
